Why am I writing a blog?
Anyone who knows me will know that I have fumbled with the idea of starting a blog for a long time, so, glass of red in hand, here it is! I’m not professing any great writing skill but would like to give this a bash. Now I know in this technological day and age we all like to know a little bit about the person whose thoughts/opinions we’re considering. I have come to the conclusion that this is for two reasons:
1. To assess your worth in terms of un-cool/cool-ness.
2. To check that you’re not an axe-wielding left/right wing maniac through whom association with will lead to bad things.
I would like to think that none of option two applies to me; the jury is out on option one so you will have to make up your own mind.
Now I know there are a gazillion food blogs already in existence (minor exaggeration) but you never know you may find something new and different here! I enjoy writing and more importantly I love food: eating, creating, experimenting and trying (pretty much) anything new. Contrary to the proposed path of education I’ve managed to escape for long enough periods-at-times to see some of the world and have toddled around with my cooking journals all over the place.
So, dear reader, internet, virtual world and potentially no one, I would like to share some of this history with you, hopefully prompt a chuckle with my current exploits and maybe…just maybe let you into a couple of little secrets (only if you can keep them) that will be hitting south Manchester soon.
